Tailwheel Endorsement

“When all is said and done, the pilot transitioning successfully to taildraggers will be amazed at the ease with which the airplane can be flown, and will do so with a great sense of pride.” Harvey S. Plourde

The tailwheel airplane has a special place in the hearts of many pilots around the world, and continues to play a large roll in modern day aviation. Popular tailwheel applications include, crop dusting, fire fighting, aerobatic performance, precision required in backcountry bush flying, the preservation of old military aircraft and much much more.

Advanced Mountain and Canyon Flying

Mountain and Canyon flying is a must have skill when it comes to backcountry flying, learning how to navigate weather through high mountain passes and steep ridges, to flying in the canyons on approach to various backcountry airstrips.

In this course there we go over the do's and don'ts of backcountry flying. How to navigate rugged terrain safely, and most importantly how to read the signs that dictate when to say no. Safe altitudes, routes, in various conditions and times of day are all essential pieces of knowledge if there is a desire to explore the opportunities of mountain flying.

Low Altitude / Off Airport Operations

The dream of many is to learn to fly airplanes to and from remote locations, on varying types of terrain composition at low altitudes. To find the best fishing and camping spots, to finding new hikes and climbing opportunities, and even to deliver much needed supplies to people in remote locations.

Experience aviation like never before as you fly low within the surface friction layer (planetary boundary layer), reading the wind and air as the earth's surface changes its movement from the typical direction of the isobars. Learn how to pick and judge new landing spots, and all of the things that go into off airport operations.
