Emergency Maneuver Training
Upset Prevention & Recovery Training
Why EMT / UPRT
Using the syllabus and procedures taught and developed by Master CFI Rich Stowell, we are pleased to offer our greatest training course. During Emergency Maneuver / Upset Prevention and Recovery Training we dive deep into aggravated and dangerous situations with the goal of increasing the pilot's capability of not only recovering an aircraft from the worst situation should it be encountered, but knowing the symptoms that lead to it in order to avoid it in entirety. We dive deep into stall spin scenarios at various airspeeds and attitudes, as well as spiral recoveries in various speeds and attitudes. The student will learn the basics of the aileron roll as we practice recovering from inverted attitudes, as well as wake turbulence simulation.
We use the ACA Citabria for this training as it is a very capable aircraft in Sportsman to Intermediate level aerobatic maneuvers, and it's non-symmetrical wing shape simulates how most General Aviation aircraft will respond in inverted attitudes.

The goal of this training course is to decrease accident rates and increase pilot ability and awareness. It has always been said; good instruction is the best and most reliable form of aircraft insurance. There are over 1100 general aviation accidents every year in the U.S. around 19 percent of which tend to be fatal. These accidents occur among student pilots, private pilots, all the way up to multi thousand hour commercial pilots. It is essential for every pilot to always be growing their skills to become the safest pilots they can be.
